Masvingo-Local junior soccer academy, Masvingo City Academy which grooms young footballers under the tutelage of former Masvingo United midfield supremo, Coach Billiat Muchenje has launched a passionate appeal for assistance with football equipment and accessories to ensure smooth flow of activities.
Muchenje said the academy based in Mucheke high density suburbs which uses border grounds for training sessions is in urgent need of soccer balls ,bibs,matchday kits ,ladders ,huddles and soccer boots.
“Our academy is appealing for help with equipment for use by our players some who come from a disadvantaged background. Essentially we need assistance with soccer balls, bibs, matchday kits, ladders, huddles and soccer boots” said Muchenje.
The academy has a vision to tap into talent across the province but also faces mobility challenges.
“We are not only targeting Masvingo urban where we are based we want to tap into the talent around Masvingo Province if we can have a team bus it help us reach all those areas playing games and nurturing talent” added Muchenje.
