Masvingo– In a landmark Prize Giving Day at Ndarama High School, Masvingo, and the youngest brilliant student at the school was presented with the Outstanding Award.

Demroy Everton Zingoni, a 12-year-old Form One learner, received a prestigious book prize package that included an iPhone, a wristwatch, perfumes, and USD 200 in cash.

In a forward-looking commitment, the organizers announced the sponsorship of Demroy’s school fees up to university level, underscoring a dedication to his continued academic success.

The award, named the Dr Robson Pahuwa Noble Award 2025, was presented by Dr. Robson Pahuwa, Executive Director and Founder of Friends of Climate Conservation Masvingo.

“The recognition highlighted Demroy’s excellence as both the Best History student and the youngest scholar in Form One” said Pahuwa.

The ceremony also acknowledged the generosity of contributors who support youth education.

David J Masomere a teacher at the school and renowned Director of ceremonies delivered an additional USD 300, bringing total charitable support for Demroy to USD 500.

The organizers expressed sincere gratitude for DJ Masomere’s kindness and steadfast commitment to uplifting young scholars in the community.

“The event emphasized the role of community partnerships in promoting academic achievement and the importance of recognizing young talents who exemplify dedication and potential,” said one of the organisers.

Demroy’s family and school community celebrated the honors, while observers noted the broader impact such sponsorships can have on students’ educational trajectories and aspirations.
