Fortune Mandishona who goes by the stage name Mogo Vibes has defied all odds by becoming the first blind artist to penetrate the Zimdancehall industry by storm.

Despite being blind Mogo Vibes has become an instant hit whose talent was discovered at the Chipaz Promotions organised Cup Clash confirming the age old adage that disability is not inability.

To his credit Mandishona created a strong bond with his fans who crowned him the winner of the cupclash in which he was awarded a residential stand.

To add spice to the award business mogul Kudakwashe Tagwirei has promised to build a house for Mogo Vibes on the stand he won.

The soft spoken artist who is naturally reserved said he bagan his musical career as a youngster playing Marimba with the Jairos Jiri band.

From then Mandishona realised he could also sing and venture into the popular Zimdancehall genre at its peak in the year 2013 but he was hardly known.

“I was inspired by the music of Winky D and later on Bazooker, and from then I decided to experiment as I felt the passion to experiment on writing and releasing my own music. The current fame gained from the Cupclash has increased bookings for me I am now a poster boy. I appreciate the love and support from promoters and fans. ” Mogo Vibes said.

Despite the current fame Mogo Vibes believes he will make it among the heavy weights through continued learning and collaboration.

Mogo Vibes is currently working on a project which will feature other artists like Ninety Six and D Flex.

“Previously I have collaborated with T Gonzi, Hove Huru and Triple T but my coming EP will have a lot of other collaborations” added Mandishona.

“In this industry I have faced challenges with people who spread rumours that I got a lot of finances from the Cup Clash yet my reward was non monetary. These rumours have impacted on sponsorship packages which might come my way”

Mogo Vibes concluded with words of advice to upcoming artists whom he encouraged to keep on working hard, no pain no gain despite and sabotage which might prevail in the industry.
