Zvishavane- A visually impaired academically gifted young girl, Molly Chiuswa from Mapanzure in Zvishavane is appealing for financial assistance to proceed to A level after she passed her November 2025 O level examinations with flying colours as her mother the only parent available cannot afford to raise school fees and cater for other expenses for her education.
Chiuswa (16) passed all the 8 subjects she sat for, attaining 5 As , 2 Bs and a C making her one of the best students at Chegato High school in Mberengwa where she attended her O Level.

She said she is appealing for assistance because her mother, a single parent is not employed and survives on doing piece jobs but is incapacitated as she is ailing from swelling legs.
“I desperately need to proceed to A level but my mother in her condition cannot afford to raise the money for fees and other expense including buying uniforms and books so, I am appealing to well-wishers to kindly assist me to further my education so that I will be able to choose a better career and take care of myself in future,” she said.
She said she had been receiving assistance from government social welfare department which had not been paying her fees in time as she owes her previous school a staggering US$5000 debt in school fees arrears.
“The school may not help me this time since I owe them a big debt from unpaid fees by social welfare so going back there may be a challenge I need assistance from well-wishers to help me, education is my only gateway since I have a visual impairment disability, I will be able to follow careers that many colleagues like me are doing,” she added.
Her mother, Nelly Siziba said she can no longer do hard labour manual piece jobs since her legs are giving her problems.
“I am ailing from swelling legs and can no longer work hard and do piece jobs to raise the required fees and meet other educational costs for my daughter hence I am appealing for help from Zimbabweans and other people, my child is visually disabled but she is academically bright and can prosper in her future if she finds help,” said Siziba.
