The Word of God With Apostle Cleopas Tavaya.

Jesus is the Answer

In this time and age, the world is moving at a fast pace. Many people have become so busy with their personal pursuits that they forget one critical element of life—their spirituality and relationship with God. With wars, economic recessions, disease outbreaks, and corruption crippling once-thriving nations, people are left with no option but to focus on survival from one day to the next. The rise of Artificial Intelligence in almost every sphere of life has also made many anxious about their future and careers.

Yet, with all this happening, we must never forget the one thing that holds our lives together—a relationship with God. After all is said and done, man must remember that we were created to worship and serve God (Revelation 4:11). The life we live now cannot be compared to the life that awaits us after death (Romans 8:18). I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

However, many people hesitate to pursue this journey. Some feel they have been far from God for too long. Others feel weighed down by guilt, believing they cannot come boldly before the throne of grace. However God invites us to come and reason together in Isaiah 1:18. “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

The Universal Condition of Sin

Romans 3:23 teaches us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Every person born of a woman has sin embedded in their nature (Psalm 51:5). No one can claim to be without sin (1 John 1:8). Humanity has tried countless ways to be good, but all human efforts fail because they are not God’s prescribed way (Proverbs 14:12). Some have even went on to create their own highway to heaven to no avail. Some have started certain religions to try to please God but all these efforts have been fruitless. When Adam and Eve sinned, they hid from God (Genesis 3:8). Sin always pushes us away from God. But God, in His love, sought a solution to reconcile man back to Himself (Isaiah 53:6).

Finding Rest in God

Anyone who desires true rest from life’s burdens must make amends with God (Matthew 11:28–30). Sin may excite for a moment, but it ultimately leads to destruction (James 1:14–15). Even if many people are doing something, that does not make it right before God (Exodus 23:2). God has often worked with a faithful minority to demonstrate His power (Judges 7:7).

Jesus Christ—God’s Solution

Jesus Christ is the solution God provided to save humanity from sin. Romans 5:8 declares that “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” John 3:16 affirms God’s love and the promise of eternal life to all who believe in Jesus. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Steps to Make Amends with God

1. Admission of Guilt and Sin

The first step to reconciliation with God is acknowledging that you are a sinner and cannot save yourself.
Proverbs 28:13 says, “He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
Recognize your inadequacy without God and seek the solution found in Christ.

2. Believing in Jesus Christ

There is no other way to salvation except through Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:12“There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
John 14:6“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Believing in the sacrificial work of Christ transforms a person.
1 John 5:12“He who has the Son has life.”

3. Confessing Your Sins and Confessing Christ

Confession brings forgiveness.
1 John 1:9“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.”
You must also confess Jesus as Lord.
Romans 10:9–10“If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

A Call to Self-Examination

Take a moment today and examine yourself (2 Corinthians 13:5).
Is your relationship with God right?
If you die today, where will you spend eternity (Hebrews 9:27)?
There is no repentance beyond the grave. You must make things right with God while you are still alive (Luke 16:19–31).

If you desire a fresh start with God, pray this prayer:

Prayer of Salvation

Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died and rose again for me. Today I confess my sins and ask You, Jesus, to come into my heart. Be my Lord and Saviour. I desire to make a fresh start with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, God has forgiven you. You are now born again (2 Corinthians 5:17), and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). From today, seek fellowship with believers who will help you grow spiritually (Hebrews 10:25). Read the Bible daily—start with the book of John. Pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and allow God to lead you in everything.

Whenever you sin, confess and repent immediately (Proverbs 24:16).

Be blessed
