Masvingo — Academic power house, Rufaro High School, has released its 2025 A-Level results analysis, recording an exceptional high overall pass rate of 98.2% based on 57 candidates, with 56 students achieving passes.
The school, run by the Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe (AFM) and located in the Chatsworth area of Gutu in Masvingo province, announced encouraging results across a broad expanse of subjects.
The results cover Geography, Economics, Accounting, History, Statistics, Pure Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Sociology, Biology, and other subject areas.
Figures indicate that most subjects achieved a 100% pass rate, with two subjects recording slightly lower performance at 90% and 87.5%, in physics and chemistry respectively.
Rufaro High school head, Jameson Shumbanhete, was excited over the results and dedicated the achievement to hard work and commitment from the team he leads, comprising of an enthusiastic staff and disciplined students.

“It gives me great pleasure that our school has recorded impressive results in the Zimsec final public examinations. Our learners have shown remarkable academic prowess, with many achieving top grades in their subjects. This accomplishment reflects the high standard of teaching and learning in our institution.
I extend my congratulations to all our teachers and learners and urge them to maintain their pursuit of excellence,” said Shumbanhete.
However the result analysis reflect a strong academic footprint across science, mathematics, and humanities disciplines.
The analysis also lists the teaching staff associated with each subject and acknowledges notable student progress through a designated “Role of Honour” section which saw one student Mavhima Progress emerging tops with a whopping 30 points.
The school has maintained high standards and delivered solid results for the 2025 A level examination class as its students are now university-bound while the school emphasized continued commitment to excellence.
The SDC chairman, Godwell Mabodha, hailed the school for inspiring results, pointing out that the learning institution was becoming a force to reckon with in the academic spheres of the province and the nation at large.
