
Rich pickings for Miss Zicosu Masvingo winners

Vivacious Miss ZICOSU winners pocketed rich proceeds for out classing other contestants in a modelling contest held last week at Flamboyant hotel.
Mufaro Maushe was crowned the winner, Tinotenda Gomo as First Princess and Miyananiso Whinya as the Second Princess at the highly subscribed event.
The winner Maushe could not hide her joy and excitement when she walked away with a Kia (Seltos) vehicle, $1500 cash price and a scholarship.
The vehicle which was donated by business tycoon Kuda Tagwirei was officially handed over by Minister Ezra Chadzamira.
The First Princess got a whopping $750 cash price and a scholarship while the Second Princess got a reasonable $500 cash price and a scholarship.
In separate interviews the winners expressed gratitude over getting scholarships to complete their studies besides getting cash prizes and a car.
The catwalk contest was organised by ZICOSU Masvingo Provincial Executive led by Blessed Mlenga.
“The inaugural edition of the Miss Zicosu Masvingo beauty pageant was largely successful drawing an attendance of over 700 people” Mulenga said.
Masvingo Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzmira in his key note address highlighted the potential of young people in arts, culture, and creativity imploring that these areas are crucial for socio-economic development.
Chadzamira also encouraged all stakeholders to continue supporting the youth in pursuing their passion and talents.
The event was also attended by notable guests like CONCORD Young Women in Business Chairperson and SADC Vice Youth Chair, Ambassador Apphia Musavengana, ZANU-PF Vice Chairman Cde Trust Mugabe representing Provincial Chairman, Chivi North MP Hon. Godfrey Mukungunurwa, Masvingo DCC Secretary for Women Affairs, Councilor Sharon Marombedze, ZANU-PF Masvingo Youth League Political Commissar, Councilor Sengerai Manyanga and recently elected Masvingo Urban Ward 7 Councilor Simbarashe “Gweja” Shonhiwa.
Blessed Mlenga said the event was a huge success and thanked all sponsors and those who attended.

Recently crowned Miss Zicosu Masvingo Mufaro Maushe who is pursuing a Diploma in Education specialising in Mathematics said she sees herself working with top brands and agencies in the future.
“In the future I will be working with top agencies showcasing their latest collections and trends. My aspiration is to become a renowned model, known for my professionalism and dedication to my craft. I’m excited to see where my modelling journey takes me and the opportunities that come my way. To balance academia and modelling I deploy an effective trick of good time management,” said Maushe.
