Nemamwa-In a landmark development for Masvingo Rural, Energy Express, the fast-growing fuel supplier fronted by businessman Julius Marimbire has unveiled the first-ever service station at Nemamwa Growth Point.
The grand opening which was on August 4, 2025 marks a milestone in the province ’s black empowerment journey and promises to reshape local travel and commerce.
The new Energy Express Service Station is set to be a beacon for travelers visiting famed local attractions, including the Great Zimbabwe Monuments, the expansive Lake Mutirikwi, and the Morgenster mission hospital and schools.
Residents have already welcomed the operational gas filling port, a notable addition that complements petrol and diesel services.
To add icing to the service Station it is opened 24 hours and offers convenient Car wash and ecocash services.
“These visionary investments give us hope, and we’re eager to see more line businesses follow suit for youth employment and community benefit.” said one local resident.
Marimbire emphasized that Nemamwa Growth Point is just the beginning.
“We’re not aiming to make this flagship station a one-off triumph; we intend to extend services across the entire district. Expect more exciting add-ons beyond fuel,” he said.
The entrepreneur also highlighted a commitment to customer service and integrity, noting that the team is gender-balanced and carefully vetted to ensure quality and reliability.
“We have zero tolerance for customer complaints. Our priority is customer happiness, and we won’t tolerate any misfits on our team,” he added.
The full-service facility includes a nearly completed convenience shop, spotless toilets, and a range of amenities designed for motorists and tourists alike.
Ecocash and swipe payments are accepted, and a state-of-the-art car wash will serve visitors returning from sightseeing.
Free oil checks, windscreen cleaning, tire pressure checks, and fluid level inspections are among the complimentary services offered to customers.
Marimbire touted the station’s storage capacity — 40,000 litres for petrol and diesel each — and the presence of a tanker on standby to ensure steady supply, underscoring the project’s role in mitigating fuel shortages.
“We have a reliable supply chain to meet demand, with a tanker always ready to fill up as needed,” he said.
This opening at Nemamwa Growth Point comes on the heels of Energy Express’ expansion, including a second station opened in Masvingo City along Simon Muzenda Street within the last year.
With sights set on broader national expansion, Marimbire envisions a network that supports both regional growth and job creation.
As the community celebrated this milestone many observers view Energy Express’ Nemamwa Growth Point station as a catalyst for continued empowerment and infrastructural development across rural Zimbabwe.
