Masvingo-Vision Academy in Masvingo has surged to the forefront of private higher education, confirming its status as an educational powerhouse with a spotless 100 percent A-level pass rate for the 2025 academic year.
The private college celebrated a strong showing in the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council,(ZIMSEC) final examinations, with 24 students in the 2025 A-level class taking the exams and 11 of them emerging as high flyers in commercial and arts subjects.

This is despite the school located in the usually noisy and hive of activity high density suburbs of Mucheke popularly known as ‘kuRank’.
Among the standout performers, two students Machingambi Blessing and Mavhundutse Bright topped the year with 15 points.
They were followed by a cluster of high achievers who each scored 14 points, including Chinyan’anya Wayne, Muza Rumbidzai, Matembudze Tadiwa, Masuku Tinashe, and Dekete Nicole.
A further group of scholars, Fungato Trust, Hoko Jack, Jokonya, Violet, and Tinashe Pepukai shared 13 points, demonstrating broad-based excellence across disciplines.
Notably, the class also included a student who earned 7 points, underscoring the range of performance within the exam class.
Vision Academy’s principal, Reuben Mapfumo, was visibly elated, describing the pass rate as a milestone that invites reflection and renewed vigor.
“Each exam year is an opportunity to introspect and to come back stronger,” he said, praising both staff and students for their dedication.
He added that the school’s success at A level rests on a three-pronged formula: staff motivation, seamless academic engagement of learners, and clinical instruction that addresses individual learning needs.
“At Vision Academy the secret to our achievement at A level lies in staff motivation, seamless academic engagement of the learners and clinical instruction that seeks to address individual learner needs,” he said.
The principal’s comments marks Vision Academy’ mantra of a shared commitment to excellence, personalized attention, and a culture of high expectations.
As Masvingo’s educational landscape continue to attract for private institutions Vision Academy says it will continue to invest in teaching quality, student support, and innovative programs to sustain its upcoming students’ performance at relatively affordable school fees structure.
With 2025’s results in hand, the academy is poised to attract more students seeking top-tier private education in the city.
