Masvingo woke to more glory for prominent businessman Stanley Kondongwe, who clinched his third award in under a week.

This time, he earned the Super Platinum title of the Zimbabwe CEO Network 2025 Outstanding Professional Excellence accolade, a sign of his rising profile and the city’s influence in the national business scene.

He was awarded in recognition of his important contribution to the Zimbabwean business space, barely a week after scooping the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) Masvingo Businessman of the year and his company Byword grabbing the ASI Harare Chapter 2025 Business Exhibition Best Stand award.

The awards are testimony of hard work and great business leadership by the business mogul who started from humble beginnings of being a motor vehicle workshop employee to become a business heavyweight in the country.

To his credit he now owns Byword Motors, Jadecon Engineering, Byword haulage trucks and a thriving farm a few kilometers out of the city. He is also into the oil industry.

In an Interview with the Centre news business Hub, a jubilant media shy, Kondongwe, attributed his success to profound hard work, steadfast dedication and unwavering commitment to business.

“Firstly I would want to thank all these organization for the recognition of my work in the business sector. I am extremely humble and honoured to get these awards as the year comes to an end,” Kondongwe said.

He added that the success wouldn’t be there if he doesn’t mention the support from his family particularly his pillar of strength, his wife and also credited team work from his hard working and dedicated staff.

“I want to thank my family and my wife for the great support as they have been with me throughout my business journey. Also I want to express my gratitude to my dedicated and committed staff, they make things happen and I can’t afford not to mention them,” he said.

The astute businessman has grown his Byword Empire to other cities like Gweru, Bulawayo and Harare, while his haulage trucks roams the local and regional transport market.

His Engineering and Construction Company Jadecon has made a mark constructing affordable housing for the low income earners including Civil servants and the general vulnerable members of the community in and around the province.

It has also constructed state of the art schools for private and public institutions owners.

He hailed the year 2025 as a blissful year for him judging from the success he has achieved.

His hard work and contribution to the local and national economy also caught the eye of President Emerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa who appointed him Commissioner of the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services Commission early this year.
