Masvingo- San Siro sports bar and grill is set to host the Queen of Swagger, Pokello Nare, a highly regarded social media influencer and prominent Harare business woman this weekend amid revelations that an inaugural Champagne selling will be launched.
The Champagne party popularly known in the street lingo as Shampopo party will be the first of its kind in Masvingo.
Similar functions were popular in Harare at the up market Dreams Night club where the rich and famous mixed and mingled at the joint which was owned by the late flamboyant businessman (Mbinga), Genius Kadungure affectionately known as Ginimbi.
The Queen of Swagger took to her official Instragam account to officially announce that she will rock Masvingo’s joint of the moment situated in the heart of the ghetto of Hillside extension suburbs.
“POKELLO METHOD CAP CLASSIQUE, Saturday 15 November San Siro Sports Bar and Grill 28115 Hillside Ext Masvingo,” she wrote on her Instragram.
The announcement has caused a stir and frenzy among local socialites, social media followers and entertainment starved residents of Masvingo.
“We can’t wait to see Pokello physically, she is our role model, a respected social media influencer and renowned businesswoman with very strong links with the whose and whose in the country,” said Shamein Mlambo a staunch Pokello follower and San Siro reveller.
San Siro is expected to be fully packed by local revellers who have never met her except following her on social media while others had a chance to watch her during her TV appearance on Big brother Africa in South Africa some years back.
San Siro proprietor, Taurai “Bucho” Mudzviti confirmed the event saying all is set for the unique function.
“Initially we are launching a champagne event in Masvingo and she is coming on Saturday she will be there around 6 pm, those who want to come will be in the VIP lounge and they will be tasting real Champagne we are going to charge a small stipend for people to access the VIP and interact with Pokello. The stipend is just revellers have to buy drinks for about $20 to access the VIP and interact with Pokello,” he said
He said revellers especially ladies will have a chance to take selfies and live stream chats with her in the VIP lounge upstairs.
“We call upon revellers to come in their numbers and support us as this is a platform to meet one of the most influential socialites in the country who commands a great following in the country and beyond, so it’s a special function for Masvingo and people will be able to buy original champagne and this is gonna be fantastic it’s gonna be intriguing , I urge ladies to be well dressed and represent our city so that we are not perceived as backwards kunenge kwakaipa, come dressed to kill so that we show them what we are made of ” added Bucho.
Revellers and those who want to monetise content will also be able to get a rare opportunity to take photos and post them on social media tagging the Queen of Swagger for reposting to get more likes and wider reach capitalising on her influence.
