A 33 year old female Masvingo socialite is in remand prison after she was denied bail when she appeared in court on allegation of having unprotected sex with a 12 year old minor boy.
Madeline Mangezi is facing AGGRAVATED INDECENT ASSAULT charges as defined in Section 47 of the criminal law (codification and Reform) Act Chapter 09:23
Allegations against the socialite arose on the 20th day of September 2025 at around 2000 hours the accused person was drinking beer at Yeukai bottle store.
The minor boy was also in the bottle store watching television.
The accused then bought the complainant some beer and he accepted and they started to drink together.
Later that night the accused asked the complainant to have sexual intercourse together for a short time and the boy accepted.
Complainant entered in to accused’s car and they drove to a bushy area near Target Kopje Masvingo.
The accused had consensual sexual intercourse with the complainant once without protection. After the act, the accused asked the complainant to pay $10 to the accused for the short time.
Accused and the minor then spent a night in accused’s car. Accused dropped complainant at Mbudzi business center Masvingo the following day.
The boy went back home at around 1700 hours on the 21st day of September 2025 and her mother asked him where he spent the night and he later divulged the truth to her.
The boy was accompanied by her mother to ZRP Chikato to file a report.
The minor was then referred to Masvingo Provincial Hospital for medical examination.
The medical affidavit and a birth certificate can be produced in court as exhibits.
The socialite allegedly stays around Mbudzi.
